This week our theme at Cubs was Remembrance. We walked down to Holy Trinity Church to see the War Memorial and look at the War Graves in the churchyard. Reverend Jon showed us the plaques inside the Church and the Cubs lit a candle in remembrance. Ahead of Sunday’s parade the Cubs also got “crafty” making poppies using paper plates, torn up pieces of red tissue paper and circles of black glitter. Each Cub wrote their name on a leaf and once it was all dry, Katy created two very impressive wreaths. We finished the session by investing four new Cubs – Thomas Bui, Etta Rose, Oscar Heimann and Jack Tunnah.
