On March 25th we had another most enjoyable Quiz Night at Holy Trinity Church and with 23 teams participating, we were able to raise a fantastic £5,300 for the new hut project, whilst also contributing to the Church’s “Transforming Trinity” project too.
With fabulous food and a well-stocked bar there was a great atmosphere throughout the event and again, local companies very generously donated prizes for the raffle and silent auction.
The Quiz had 6 rounds as before, but with a fiendish twist this time…every round consisted of 9 general knowledge questions, with the 10th question based on a specific subject (e.g. history or sport), which then linked all the answers from the previous 9 questions. As you might imagine, the scoring proved to be as close as ever, with our previous Quiz Night champions “Professor Quiz Witty”, being beaten into second place this time by the “Curry Club”. In joint 3rd place we had “See Attached” and “The Management”.
Quiz Master and Chair of 1st Sunningdale Scouts, Michael King, commented “What a truly phenomenal result….absolutely fantastic!”
