On Monday 7th November the Cubs visited Bracknell Fire Station. We were made most welcome and had an extensive tour of the fire station. There were some great questions from the Cubs and they were absolutely fascinated by the whole visit.
Read more: Fire, Fire!!…the Cubs visit Bracknell Fire StationParticular highlights were trying on some firefighting kit, as well as sitting in a fire engine, watching one of the firemen slide down the pole and at the end, the Cubs (& the Leaders!!) were allowed to have a go with a REAL fire hose, spraying water high into the air right across the yard at the back of the fire station.
And just as we were about to depart, they were called out to a real fire in some local woodland and we watched the fire engine leave, with the siren sounding and the blue lights flashing.
Huge thanks to the Bracknell Fire Station for such a fantastic visit…. we’ll certainly be going again!!!
