Volunteering can be a brilliant way to boost your wellbeing. It’s a great feeling knowing you’re helping young people get skills for life, and you might even learn a lot about yourself along the way.
We have a really long waiting list of young people wanting to join and we would love to open one new section each for Squirrels, Beavers and Cubs, and also increase the number of our Scout and Explorer leaders.
In order to do this, we need to find twenty-four enthusiastic adults to join us so that we can offer even more Scouting opportunities to the young people in the local area. No prior experience is needed, and you don’t need to have a young person in the group.
So, if you would like to meet new people, try new activities, get outside more, and make a real positive impact for our local community, why not drop-in to our open day. We’ll explain all about it and you can chat to some of our current leaders to find out exactly what is involved. Oh, and there will also be food from the BBQ, cake and hot drinks for you!
