Roles Required

Section Leaders Work together with the section leadership team to plan and deliver the weekly programme and events. Most weekly meetings are at Scout HQ in Sandy Lane.
SQUIRRELS (ages 4-6 years) Currently meet Wednesdays 4.30pm-5.30pm (2 more leaders) Looking to add Fridays 4.30pm-5.30pm (6 new leaders needed)
BEAVERS (ages 6- c.8 years) Currently meet Mondays 5.15pm-6.15pm (2 more leaders) Looking to add Tuesdays 5.15pm-6.15pm (5 new leaders needed)
CUBS (ages 8- c.10.5 years) Currently meet Mondays 6.45pm-8.00pm (1 more leader) Looking to add Tuesdays 6.45pm-8.00pm (4 new leaders needed)
SCOUTS (ages 10.5-14 years) Currently meeting Thursdays 7.30pm-9.00pm (2 more leaders)
EXPLORERS (ages 14-18 years) Currently meeting Fridays 7.30pm-9.00pm (2 more leaders)
Activity Instructors Work together with specialist team, based at Earleywood (Bagshot Road, Sunninghill) to deliver specific activities to Young People in Scouting. Previous experience is useful, although not necessary as Scout Association training & accreditation will be provided.
CLIMBING Earleywood has a climbing tower & high ropes course
ARCHERY Both indoor and outdoor
AIR RIFLE SHOOTING Indoor
Supporting behind the scenes  These roles are also vital to keep 1st Sunningdale running. Done from home, with occasional face to face meetings/Zoom calls, they can flexibly fit in with family life and other commitments
FUND RAISING Work as part of the team to deliver Quiz Nights (2 x pa), Golf Days (1 x pa) and Bike Sales (3 x pa) to raise essential funds for the group. 
APPLYING FOR GRANTS Work as part of the team applying for grants and funding for the new hut. Involves good organisational skills.
ADMIN SUPPORT Working together with the 1st Sunningdale Trustee Board to ensure compliance with Charity Commission and Scout Association Governance requirements. Business experience or having previously been a School Governor/Trustee elsewhere, would be very helpful, but not necessary.
EVENT SUPPORT Being part of the 1st Sunningdale team which organises camps and events for the Young People – either for the whole group or by section. This involves admin/communications prior to the event, through to menu planning and help with the food shopping, as well as pitching tents, loading and unloading the trailers.
WELCOMING NEW VOLUNTEERS Working together with the South East Berkshire District Volunteer & Development team to welcome new volunteers to 1st Sunningdale, helping with DBS checks and supporting them through the online training. Also includes involvement with the 1st Sunningdale group recruitment strategy for adult help and attending District meetings c. 3x pa.
PROGRAMME SUPPORT Representing 1st Sunningdale as part of the South East Berkshire District Programme team. This team plans and organises events and activities for all the Groups in our District and involves attending District meetings c. 3x pa.
14 – 24 SUPPORT Representing 1st Sunningdale as part of the South East Berkshire District 14 -24 team, providing additional opportunities for Explorers as well as all the young adults who want to remain in Scouting (after Explorers). Involves attending District meetings c. 3x pa.
