Beaver Running

Beavers start aged six and stay until they move up to Cubs when they are eight.

Beavers Logo

Beavers are easily recognised by their distinctive turquoise sweatshirts. They enjoy making friends, playing games, working for badges, going on visits and helping others. 1st Sunningdale Beavers have been climbing, tracking in the woods, joined the Cubs at camp and spent evenings with a chef, a policeman, a film director and an airline pilot and learned how to look after a motorbike and toast marshmallows. 1st Sunningdale Beavers do not stay still!

We meet on a Monday at the Scout Hut from 5:15pm – 6:15pm and now a second Colony on Tuesday from 5:15pm – 6:15pm. We welcome both boys and girls. We love being outdoors, cooking on fires, exploring, playing games, and earning badges. Beavers allows children to make new friends, develop confidence and independence. We follow a structured programme with the aim of the children completing their Chief Scout Bronze award by the end of their two years at Beavers. It is a place where all children can grow and there are opportunities to take risks in a controlled environment, be creative, active, and learn new skills.

If you would like more information or would like your child to join Beavers please complete our online joining application form. There is generally a waiting list but children are always moving up to Cubs to make space for new Beavers.
